We had a really good meeting tonight, and we are scrambling to get everything ready for the competition on Saturday. We have many new parts on the robot, and it is proving to be more difficult to drive because of the speed. We were able to get a lot of practice in tonight, and we are hoping to get some good competition experience on Saturday.
On the beginner’s robot, they were able to attach the arm, and they tested it. Unfortunately, they made some of their measurements wrong, which means they will have to rebuild the arm. We were also able to insure that everyone had practice on the new system, and that they were able to drive it at least a little bit. With the new competition robot, they have mainly been working on the arm system. We are still attempting to get this to a competition sometime soon, it’s just getting everything worked out, especially from scratch, that is causing the problem.
We had a great meeting, and we will mostly be wrapping everything up, insuring that the robot works properly, and that everyone has practice. We have improved our robot quite a bit, and we are hoping it will perform better this time around. We have some really good ideas, we are just running into some problems when it comes to actually building past a prototype, and getting the designs actually implemented on robots.
